Williamson County Genealogical Society Project – FamilySearch Indexing
WCGS is participating in a special project this year. Join us in a cooperative effort with FamilySearch to index the Texas County Tax Rolls.
You can learn more about FamilySearching Indexing at indexing.familysearch.org. Take the “Test Drive!” Register at this website (aka create a FamilySearch account) and download the software. As you go through the registration process, you will see a pop-up that prompts you to join a specific group. Select the 3rd option, then used the drop-down box to locate us, Williamson County Genealogical Society. Be sure to read the general instructions for all indexers, or view the videos provided. Then, read the Project Specific Instructions for the Texas County Tax Rolls. Now you’re ready to start!
